A Glimpse Into the
Set Design Process
SKETCHES!
Often a Designer will start by sketching their ideas. Can you find the penguins in these sketches? What about the ice siding?!
COMPUTER RENDERINGS!
Sometimes Designers will use computer programs to help them create their sets! Look how Shuxing used computer generated images to go from a black and white set to a full color rendering! (Plus the computer program lets him demonstrate how set pieces and actors will move around the set!!)
THE TRUNK!
For our show, Shuxing also designed the props!
In this case, the trunk functions as both a prop piece and a part of our set!
